The HPPC Way

The HPPC football model is influenced by Fleetwood Town FC’s player development approach, helping players understand the game, make better decisions and perform with intent in every moment.

The Four Moments

In Possession

Think forward. Play forward. Run forward.
Recognise space, break lines, use width well and attack with purpose.

The Four Moments

Attacking Transition

Exploit quickly.
Make clear decisions, support forward actions and turn moments into chances.

The Four Moments

Out of Possession

Defend with energy, discipline and intent.
Press, stay connected, protect central areas and compete strongly in duels.

The Four Moments

Defending Transition

React immediately.
Counter-press if possible. Recover quickly if not. Delay, deny and regain compactness with urgency.
